Lockport man who threatened to post porn photos gets 15-year sentence

A Lockport man who admitted last year he threatened to distribute sexually explicit photos of a then-underage girl in order to try to coerce more photos from her as an adult was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in federal prison.

U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo also sentenced Timothy Laubacker, 26, to a lifetime of supervised release, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

Laubacker contacted the victim on Facebook, having obtained photos she sent to her then-boyfriend when she was about 14 years old, prosecutors said.

He pleaded guilty in July to cyberstalking and enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity. The latter charge involved a second underage female victim who Laubacker threatened in 2015 with distributing photos of her unless she sent him additional pictures. Laubacker made contact with the minor victim when he worked as a behavioral health aide at a mental health facility.

Co-defendant Travis Guerriera, who also pleaded guilty last year to possession of child pornography and cyberstalking, is scheduled to be sentenced March 14.
