Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will host a community forum on health issues and service needs in Niagara County.
The open session begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium of the hospital at 621 10th St.
Memorial spokesman Patrick J. Bradley said medical center executives often obtain valuable input from these forums, leading to new programs that respond to community needs.
Wednesday's topics will include the medical center's future plans, including a Suboxone program for opiate users, Bradley said.
Also to be discussed are "hot-spotter programs," aimed at finding other help in the community for frequent users of Memorial's emergency room, and the future of the hospital's bariatric programs, offering surgical and other responses to obesity and related health issues.
