A Jamestown man was arrested Sunday after attempting to elude police, whom he led on a brief foot chase, according to Jamestown Police.
Tavion L. Turner, 19, was charged with criminal mischief, harassment and obstructing governmental administration, Jamestown Police said.
Officers had been called shortly after 5:30 p.m. to a West 8th Street address for a report of a person with weapon, Jamestown Police said.
When police arrived, Turner had left the premises, Jamestown Police said. Police pursued him and located Turner on Cherry Street, where officers said he refused commands to stop, according to Jamestown Police.
After Turner was taken into custody, it was determined he was an unwanted presence at the West 8th Street home, where he allegedly damaged a door and harassed a tenant, Jamestown Police said.
Turner was taken to city jail, police said.
