Buffalo man, 36, arrested following robbery in Fruit Belt

A Buffalo man who allegedly stole proceeds from an outside parking ramp in the Fruit Belt neighborhood was arrested for robbery Sunday, according to a Buffalo Police report.

Kyle Kennon-Brown, 36, of Barthel Street, allegedly took $111 in cash from a parking attendant who was leaving work for the night, Buffalo Police reported.

The alleged robbery occurred at about 11:20 p.m. Sunday near Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, according to a Buffalo Police Department spokesman.

The attendant told police that Kennon-Brown had earlier stopped at the parking garage to ask about employment, according to police. He returned later and allegedly snatched the bag of money and ran towards Michigan Avenue, police said.

Police said Kennon-Brown was apprehended about an hour later at Carlton and Orange streets.
