Woman slashed tires of adversary who smashed up her apartment, police say

A bitter feud between two Buffalo women resulted in their arrests after one woman apparently broke into the other's apartment Saturday, leading her victim to retaliate by slashing the first woman's tires, according to Buffalo Police.

Buffalo Police reported that Ronette N. Cooks, 23, of High Street broke through the front door of Helena L. Green's home on Carlton Street in the Fruit Belt early Saturday afternoon. Cooks allegedly smashed two windows and damaged a refrigerator and curio cabinet, cutting her right hand in the process and requiring stitches at Erie County Medical Center.

In response, police said, Green, 25, slashed all four tires on Cook's car.

The women face felony burglary and criminal mischief charges, respectively, according to the report.
