The community is invited to a session of the Niagara Falls Housing Court from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday to learn how the Niagara Falls Community Development and Code Enforcement Departments work to ensure responsible maintenance of housing stock, which affects a neighborhood’s quality of life. Housing Court is held in Courtroom 22 of Niagara Falls City Court, 1925 Main St.
The departments are focused on data driven inspections and swifter adjudication for repeat violators of the municipal housing code. The Code Enforcement Department’s violation reports are only valuable if they lead to housing court appearance tickets and active cases. This is an opportunity for the public to see how important this issue is to city neighborhoods.
