'Les Miserables' comes to the Ken West stage

The talents and effort of more than 90 students, from actors to the orchestra and backstage, will bring the musical "Les Miserables" to the Kenmore West stage at 7:30 p.m. on March 8-10. Tickets are $9 presale and $10 at the door.

The award-winning musical, which first premiered in London in 1985, is based on Victor Hugo's novel. Set in 19th century France, the story follows Jean Valjean as he is released from years of unjust imprisonment and Inspector Javert who pursues him when he breaks parole to start a new life. Poverty, love and the Paris student uprising of 1832, add to the story of human survival.
