Cousins Rachel Polanski and Aubrey Neal are at the Winter Olympics in South Korea and brought their Bills flag with them to show their #BillsMafia spirit. Aubrey has been posting photos of the duo with their flag at Olympic venues.
Polanski and Neal were both born and raised in Buffalo, although Neal spent about 10 years living in New York City. She remains a "die-hard" Bills fan, though.
The News caught up with Rachel via Facebook to ask her about their journey:
We've taken a year off of our lives to travel the world. The Bills flag is our little token from home that we felt needed to come with us on our travels. We know how unifying it is to be a Bills fan, so it just felt right to bring that piece of home with us.
On Christmas Eve my cousin turned to me and said, "how do you feel about going to the Olympics?!" Without a second of hesitation we bought three events. We've currently been to four events this week. Our fifth and final event is tomorrow evening. Apart from watching the Olympics, we really enjoy walking around and exploring. Not all too often do we have a set plan on what to do, and by wandering we always find all sorts of interesting things. I know that we're going on a tour of the Joint Security Area and DMZ. We are hoping to get a picture of our flag at the North Korean border -- but not too sure if that will be allowed.
Our South Korean adventure comes to a close on Friday, but our next big photo op will be at the Holi Fest in India. Stay tuned!
