What to watch for Monday

1. Boys basketball - Canisius at St. Joe's, 6:30 p.m.

New No. 1 large school Canisius (20-2, 10-1) heads to St. Joe's (8-13, 2-8) in the newest installment of this rivalry. The Crusaders blew out the Maruaders at home on Jan. 9, 88-55.

2. Girls basketball - Lancaster at Clarence, 7:30 p.m.

No. 10 large school Lancaster (13-4, 7-3) renews its rivalry with honorable mention Clarence (11-7, 6-4) after the two ECIC I teams played last Thursday. The Legends won on a wild finish, which included a three at the buzzer.

3. Girls basketball - East Aurora at Lake Shore, 6:30 p.m.

No. 6 large school East Aurora (14-3, 11-0) looks to finish ECIC III play unbeaten when it visits No. 9 Lake Shore (14-4, 9-2). The Blue Devils handed the second-place Eagles one of their two losses in a 56-50 game on Jan. 8.

4. Girls basketball - Southwestern at Chautauqua Lake, 7:30 p.m.

No. 2 small school Southwestern (17-0, 11-0) is one of two unbeaten girls teams in Western New York and looks to keep it that way at No. 7 Chautauqua Lake (13-6, 9-2). The Trojans beat the Thunderbirds twice this season, 68-59 on Dec. 28 and 55-53 on Jan. 16.

5. Boys basketball - St. Francis at Park, 6:30 p.m.

No. 2 large school Park (16-5, 8-2) hosts No. 8 St. Francis (12-9, 6-4) in a Monsignor Martin Class A showdown. The Pioneers won the first matchup on the road, 57-43.
