[BN] Blitz newsletter: Nickel CB Leonard Johnson would 'love, love, love' to come back

Cornerback Leonard Johnson signed a one-year, $885,000 contract to join the Bills last offseason, passing up an opportunity to stay with the Carolina Panthers because he wanted to continue playing for Sean McDermott.

Entering unrestricted free agency again, Johnson hopes he can remain a member of McDermott's defense. “I would love, love, love to come back and be a part of this team again,” Johnson told Jay Skurski after the Bills' playoff loss in Jacksonville.. “One of the biggest positives is we made it a family-oriented culture and environment,” he said. “I look back on it, man, and this is my favorite team I've ever been a part of, from the time I started playing football."

Daboll adds another stafferThe Bills have hired Shea Tierney as an offensive assistant, according to the team website. Tierney is the third member of the Crimson Tide staff joining the Bills along with offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and analyst William Vlachos.
