The owners of Colter Bay Restaurant in Allentown are seeking to replace five sets of storefront windows along Delaware Avenue and Allen Street to make them functional and energy efficient.
Derek and Jessica Eastwood, whose Rock Wobbly LLC operates the restaurant at 561 Delaware, obtained a $49,000 Buffalo Main Street Initiative grant from the Allentown Association as part of that group's Allen Street Commercial District Enhancement Program.
The $80,000 project would replace the old single-pane windows that don't open and provide little insulation with new double-pane, insulated sliding windows, while maintaining the existing copper base and aluminum trim. The work must be completed by November 2018.
The project, located in the Allentown Historic District, will be considered by the Buffalo Preservation Board on Thursday.
