A John Waters Christmas to hit the Babeville stage

Cult filmmaker John Waters will be bringing his brand of off-kilter holiday cheer to Buffalo at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 in Babeville's Asbury Hall (341 Delaware Ave).

The event was announced on Babeville's Facebook page where it says the event will be a "wild and unique holiday adventure." I can only imagine.

Responsible for films including "Pink Flamingos," "Hairspray" and "Cry-Baby," the Baltimore-born auteur will be taking his perverted love of the holiday season back on tour. While little info on the event is currently available, Waters' 2017 one-man holiday show included a series of monologues on traditional holiday rituals, religious fanaticism and true crime holiday horror stories.

Advance tickets are $40 and will go on sale at noon Feb. 9 through the venue's box office, Ticketfly or charge by phone at 877-987-6487. A limited number of VIP tickets will also be available for $140. Keep an eye on Babeville's website for further info.
