Buffalo woman pinned under car after hit-and-run on Dunlop Avenue

A woman standing in a driveway on Dunlop Avenue on Thursday night was hit by a car and pinned under a parked vehicle, according to Buffalo police.

The incident happened at 11:20 p.m. on Dunlop between Comstock and Parkridge avenues. The driver of the 2008 tan Buick, who also struck the house before driving away, was last seen heading east on Dunlop heading towards Comstock, police said.

The victim suffered head and upper-body pain and cuts to her face and she was taken to Erie County Medical Center, according to a police report. She was treated and released from the hospital.

Police are looking into whether the victim and the suspect know each other, a police spokesman said. Police ask anyone with information about what happened to call or text the department's confidential tip line at 716-847-2255.
