A Buffalo man who sexually assaulted a child in October pleaded guilty Friday to first-degree rape.
Robert Proctor, 29, admitted to State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns that on Oct. 13, while at a home in the city, he had intercourse with a girl who was under the age of 13.
The girl immediately reported the assault and Proctor’s DNA was found on her body. He was arrested Oct. 20.
The judge ordered Proctor to be held without bail, as Proctor now faces a possible maximum sentence of 25 years in prison when he returns to court on March 7.
Proctor also was scheduled to be in another courtroom next week, on charges of misdemeanor assault and harassment, which allegedly occurred three days before the rape.
