A Buffalo woman was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated after she backed her vehicle into a police car, Buffalo police said.
Jameese Russell, 41, was sitting behind the wheel of a car stopped at a red light on Jefferson Avenue and East Utica Street shortly after midnight when she put the vehicle in reverse and backed up into an officer's patrol car, according to a police report.
The officer said she detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from Russell's vehicle and on her breath. Russell also appeared glassy eyed and her motor coordination skills seemed compromised, the officer added.
Russell was issued traffic summonses for backing her vehicle unsafely and driving while intoxicated, police said.
