MONEY TALKS – Guest speaker is Denise Jewell Gee, executive business editor of The Buffalo News, at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the IMAGINE Buffalo lunchtime lecture series in the Ring of Knowledge on the main floor of the Central Library on Lafayette Square in downtown Buffalo.
The program begins at noon with a Great Courses video on “The Arts of Investing: Lessons from History’s Greatest Traders,” which features Warren Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, parent company of The News.

KEY TO THE HIGHWAY – The five-hour motor vehicle pre-licensing course that’s needed before new drivers can take their New York State road test will be offered in two sessions from 6:30 to 9 p.m. next Monday and Feb. 7 in Room 129 at Orchard Park High School, 4040 Baker Road, Orchard Park.
Applicants must be 16 or older and have a valid New York State learner’s permit. Fee is $30. Students must attend both sessions. To register, call 209-6295. Additional two-session courses will be held on March 19 and 21, and again on May 14 and 16.

SAVING GRACE – Preservation Buffalo Niagara and the Niagara Falls Historic Preservation Society will hold a Landmarks 101 workshop at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium of the Niagara Falls Public Library, 1425 Main St., Niagara Falls.
