Fire causes $190,000 damage at vacant Columbus Parkway house

A two-alarm fire Sunday morning caused extensive damage to a house on Columbus Parkway.

Buffalo firefighters responded to the 9:29 a.m. call to find the fire, which started on the first floor of the vacant house at 794 Columbus, had extended to the second floor and attic.

Damage to the two-and-a-half story wood frame building is listed at $150,000, with $40,000 damage to the contents.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
