The Rochester Americans wrapped up their season-long five-game road trip with a 4-3 overtime win at Belleville Saturday night.
Kyle Criscuolo opened the scoring 4:13 into the first period and ended the game 22 seconds into the extra frame for his 12th goal of the season.
Rochester heads into this weekend’s AHL All-Star break with a 25-10-5-5 record, good for third in the league and second in the Eastern Conference with 60 points.
After Criscuolo scored the game’s first goal, Belleville evened it up with 42 seconds left in the opening period and then took the lead 1:27 into the second. Both goals came on the power play.
Taylor Fedun scored on the power play to make it 2-2 with 4:50 left in the middle frame.
Belleville regained the lead 34 seconds into the third, and Rochester’s Eric Cornel tied it at 3-3 with 2:40 to go.
Rochester returns home following the all-star break on Feb. 2 when its hosts first-place Toronto at 7:05 p.m.
Goaltender Linus Ullmark and rookie forward C.J. Smith will represent the Amerks at the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic hosted by the Utica Comets. The skills competition is Sunday at 8 p.m., with the All-Star Challenge on Monday at 7 p.m. (NHL Network).
