Who: Zachary P. Schneider, partner and CEO, Fifteen
What he's doing: Fifteen, an advertising and marketing agency in Allentown with a wide-ranging clientele, was launched by Schneider and a partner in 2009. Schneider is also an investor in companies such as Circuit Clinical, Piston and Ru's Pierogi, and he has helped other startups secure funding and evolve strategically.
Why he defines the entrepreneurial spirit: Schneider's entrepreneurial bent and creative tendencies go beyond the businesses in which he is directly involved. One section of the floor Fifteen occupies at 599 Delaware Ave. is dedicated to single offices for other entrepreneurs to lease. He likes the idea of providing startups space to develop while having access to a professional office setting.
Advice for the new entrepreneur: "I would suggest to any entrepreneur starting out to slow down and do a sanity check. Why do you want to endeavor down this road? If you want to do it to get rich or famous, please stop and find another career path. If your answer is so complicated you can't get it out in a sentence, you should also consider walking away. This is one of the most challenging paths you can choose. Make sure your whole heart is in it and you are willing to lose everything in order to see the success of your company."
