A Niagara Falls man was embarrassed to have a car in front of his house with a "boot" on it.
So he and his son wanted to move the red Buick Century from the street into his driveway, according to a Niagara Falls police report.
Falls police showed up to the house on Van Rensselaer Avenue in the city's DeVeaux section at about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday and saw the rear end of the car up on a jack. The two men had the car in reverse with the boot still on and trying to maneuver it into the driveway, according to the report.
Michael F. Ricotta, 58, was issued an appearance ticket for third-degree criminal tampering. The car was towed to the city's corporation yard.
