Eden warehouse sold to French-owned fertilizer company

An agricultural company has acquired an Eden warehouse from a prominent family in the town, paying $2.566 million.

Timac Agro USA of Reading, Pa., bought the facility at 8639 Depot St., formerly home to Eden Sanitation Service and Paul C. Laing Inc., from Laing Family Properties LLC. The 35,470-square-foot warehouse was built in 1906 on 0.81 acres.

Timac Agro, which is owned by Roullier Group of France, develops, makes and sells soil, plant and animal nutrition items, such as fertilizers, biostimulants, inoculants and other livestock products, for use on farms. It also conducts and publishes research on the effects of its various products on various crop yields.

The Laing family also owns Laing-Gro Fertilizers at 8659 Depot.
