SIKORSKI - Stanley Passed away peacefully Friday, January 5, 2018. Stanley was born March 4, 1920 in Buffalo, NY and was the beloved husband of Helen Piskorz. He is survived by his children, David (Joan) Sikorski, Cynthia (Dr. Frank) Lauciello, Sally (Charles) Hagen, James (Claudia) Sikorski and was a cherished grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. Stanley served in the military during the World War II conflict, four years in the Army and four years in the Marines. He proudly received the Silver Medal which was given to him for his bravery for risking his life to save his fellow soldiers while in battle on the island of Saipan. He also received the bronze star commendation for participating in three separate war campaigns. Following his military service, Stanley was employed at the Bethlehem Steel Company for 30 years from which he retired. A Celebration of Life and Military Mass will be held at St. Teresa's Church, 1974 Seneca Street, Buffalo, on March 10 at 11 AM. Stanley requested that he would be donated to the University of Buffalo Medical School. Flowers are gracefully declined.
