U.S. needs educated leader, not another TV personality
President Trump was elected without legislative experience. Many voters were impressed by his roles on reality television. That was a mistake. His victory does not lend legitimacy to entertainers seeking political office.
While Oprah Winfrey is educated, articulate and has wide appeal, she should not run for president.
Why can’t a nation with law schools such as Yale, Harvard and Stanford produce a member of Congress or the Senate with the gravitas to contend for the office of president? America needs an attorney to preside over the administration of the laws of the land. The Democratic Party should consider nominating either Sen. Elizabeth Warren or Sen. Chuck Schumer to contend for the 2020 presidential election.
