A Buffalo woman charged with attacking a man with a kitchen knife faces a slew of charges, including assault and child endangerment, because five children were also in the home, Buffalo police said.
Tia S. Dunovant, 30, was arrested at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, about five hours after the attack left a man with a forehead wound. The incident in a home on Connelly Avenue, off Bailey Avenue, began with a verbal argument over an email, according to a Buffalo police report.
Dunovant allegedly asked one of the children in the home to get her the knife she used, according to the report.
Police said the 33-year-old victim's injury required 22 stitches to close. Dunovant was charged with first-degree assault, child endangerment, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to police.
