A Town of Attica woman faces charges of child sex abuse after Attica Police received a complaint from someone who said a woman Sunday presented them with a video allegedly depicting a sexual act involving a child and adult, according to the Attica Police Department.
Victoria L. Young, 23, of East Avenue, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, the use of a child less than 17 for a sexual performance and endangering the welfare of a child, Attica Police said.
Young was arrested Wednesday after a police investigation, with assistance from the Wyoming County's social services department and Child Protective Services, according to Attica Police.
Attica Police executed a search warrant at Young's apartment, where they collected alleged evidence, Attica Police said. Police were assisted by the State Police's computer crime unit.
The child, age 4, was placed in the custody of relatives, Attica Police said.
Young was held in Wyoming County Jail on $100,000 cash bail, Attica Police said. An order of protection was issued barring Young from contact with the child, to whom she is related, Attica Police said.
Young is scheduled to return to court Feb. 5.
