"The New Education Bargain," the Buffalo school district's reform plan to improve academic performance, will be the subject of an in-depth program premiering at 9 p.m. Monday on WNED-TV.
It also will air at 3 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 27 and will be available for streaming at wned.org.
The bargain from the district is this: If students work hard and parents commit to their child's education, the Buffalo Public Schools will guarantee a path to opportunity and achievement.
The program will include a roundtable discussion of the topic with some of Buffalo's educational, political, community and business leaders, including Superintendent Kriner Cash, Mayor Byron W. Brown, SUNY Buffalo State President Katherine Conway-Turner and Buffalo Board of Education President Barbara A. Seals Nevergold.
