A 40-year-old North Tonawanda man was arrested and charged with first-degree assault Saturday after he allegedly stabbed a family member in the neck while riding in a vehicle on Tonawanda Creek Road in Pendleton.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Cory J. Ochterski allegedly left the vehicle after the victim, who was driving, stopped the car, and then ran off while the victim drove himself to DeGraff Memorial Hospital for treatment. The victim was then transferred by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center. Police did not reveal his condition.
Meanwhile, Amherst Police located Ochterski on Schoelles Road in that town, after receiving a complaint of a suspicious male. He was taken to Pendleton Town Court for arraignment.
