Jamestown woman with headlight out jailed on DWI charges

Not having both headlights on at night landed a Jamestown woman in jail for drunken driving early Saturday morning.

Jamestown police stopped Tammy B. Arnold, 35, at North Main Street and East Fifth Street for having a headlamp out.

She was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to the city jail, where a chemical test recorded her blood-alcohol content higher than 0.08 percent. She was previously convicted of a DWI within the last 10 years, so the charge was upgraded to felony DWI, in addition to the charge for no headlamp. She was held in jail until arraignment.
