Families served by the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara witnessed the generosity of Niagara County residents during the holiday season.
Members of the Greater Niagara Federal Credit Union, civic organizations and community members donated carloads of gift items such as new stuffed animals, blankets, warm clothing and more.
The Child Advocacy Center, a service of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, provides a comfortable environment where a Niagara County child reported as abused can be interviewed, receive a medical evaluation, participate in therapy and receive support services.
Greater Niagara FCU has supported the center for more than 20 years and will be collecting items again in April, which is Youth Month, as well as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Donations will be accepted at both offices, at 2901 Military Road, Niagara Falls, and 160 Ward Road, North Tonawanda.
