Trump should not end TPS for hard-working immigrants
President Trump is planning on terminating temporary protected status (TPS) for immigrants and refugees from Sudan, South Sudan, Nicaragua, Honduras, Haiti, El Salvador, Syria, Nepal, Yemen and Somalia. This will send thousands of people into situations that are at best poor and at worst dangerous and desperate.
TPS holders are peaceful, hard-working, members of our community and contribute to it and to industries such as health and child care. They are also important to our economy. TPS for these families must be protected.
