A Niagara Falls man is being sought on several charges after city police said he rammed a police cruiser early Sunday before fleeing the scene on foot.
Officers responded to a loud music complaint in the 2200 block of Niagara Street just before 3 a.m. Sunday and had to park blocking the driveway of a home due to traffic congestion.
Police said a man in a vehicle in the driveway did not possess a valid driver's license, but he insisted he was leaving and backed up, brushing the arm of Officer Sanja Bruder-Drinks and striking the police cruiser on the driver's side, according to police reports. The driver then fled on foot and disappeared in the area of Monroe Avenue, police said. Witnesses confirmed the identity of the 25-year-old suspect, who will face charges when he's apprehended.
