Feeling cooped up by the cold weather? The Town of Tonawanda's Winterfest 2018 could be the answer Jan. 11-15.
Included in the Winterfest are a senior center dance on Jan. 11 and a wine tasting on Jan. 12, both from 7 to 10 p.m. at the town senior center, 291 Ensminger Road. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the center or by calling 874-3266.
On Jan. 13, events are scheduled all day long at Lincoln Arena, 1200 Parker Blvd., with youth hockey tournaments from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., the 16th annual Kenmore East vs. Kenmore West exhibition hockey tournament at 5 p.m., fireworks at 7:15 p.m. in Lincoln Park, and live music by Strictly Hip from 7:30 to 10 p.m. in the DFK Pavilion outside the arena.
On Jan. 15 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center, you can swim with a DJ on the deck from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and see model boats in the pool at the International Model Boat demonstration from 4 to 7 p.m. Bring your own skates for a recreational skating pizza party at Lincoln Arena from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.
