Man robbed in Niagara Falls knife attack

A Niagara Falls man told police he was cut in the face and scalp during an attack Monday morning near Niagara Avenue and 13th Street, according to a Niagara Falls police report.

The victim told police he was robbed sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. after leaving a friend's apartment. He described the attackers as four males who were about 17 years old, according to the report.

Three of the assailants demanded the victim turn over whatever he had in his pockets, and after they  rummaged through his pockets, a fourth attacker cut him with the pocket knife and attempted to stab him in the chest, he told police.

The assailants took the victim's identification and cash and then got into a navy blue Dodge Caravan and fled the scene, according to the report.
