Bengals receiver who caught TD asks Bills fans to support cause close to his heart

Tyler Boyd deserves some love, too.

Boyd is the Bengals wide receiver who caught the game-winning touchdown pass from Andy Dalton that sent the Bills to the playoffs.

Given the widespread support that Dalton's foundation has received from Bills fans – in excess of $200,000 since Sunday night – Boyd took to Twitter to let Bills fans know about a cause close to his heart.

Boyd, from Clairton, Pennsylvania, asked for donation to the Western Pennsylvania Youth Athletic Association via a fundraiser. "You guys are donating to a youth football organization that I grew up playing in and would mean so much to me if I can help improve structure new equipment, travel arrangements etc.," he wrote. "Not only the football organization where I grew up but many more."

The organization says it helps children from the ages of 5 to 14 from low-income communities in the Pittsburgh area. The money will be used to help purchase equipment, buses and other game day costs.

By early evening, the initial goal of $20,000 was met, Boyd tweeted.

Andy Dalton gets Bills into playoffs, and #BillsMafia pays it forward to tune of $170,000
