Bruce E. Phillips, a former Kodak machinist, died Friday in Niagara Hospice, Lockport, after a brief battle with cancer. He was 63.
Mr. Phillips was born in Akron, Ohio, and graduated from North Tonawanda High School. He worked at Kodak as a machinist for 32 years before retiring in 2013. He began his own machinist company in 2000 and did special projects for other companies.
Mr. Phillips, who lived in Waterport, enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, camping and snowmobiling. He also liked working on cars and helping family and friends with home improvement projects.
Survivors include two daughters, Nicole Daisley and Jennifer Laviz; two sons, Christopher and William; a brother, Craig; a sister, Robin Coffey; and five grandchildren.
A memorial celebration will be held at 5 p.m. Friday in Frontier Fire Hall, 2176 Liberty Drive, Niagara Falls.
