Miami's 3-level flood pattern
Coach Adam Gase's Miami offense is good at attacking zone defenses with three-level flood patterns, both to the sidelines and on crossers over the middle. This was a first-down pass for 19 yards against a Carolina three-deep zone defense in Week 10. DeVante Parker (11) cleared out deep. Kenny Stills ran a short out. Jarvis Landry (14) ran to the intermediate hole in the zone along the sideline and caught the pass.
The safety needs to get a deep drop to make the throw difficult for Jay Cutler (6). Carolina often stays with three linebackers against three-receiver sets. Most teams, including the Bills, will bring on the nickel cornerback.
