Four Erie County Probation Officers acting on a tip Wednesday, discovered a probationer in possession of large amounts of drugs and cash inside his City of Tonawanda residence.
Raymond Frustino was taken into custody following the unannounced visit by the probation officers, according to the Erie County Executive's office. During a search of Frustino's residence, probation officers found $34,000 cash and what was described as a significant amount of drugs, including marijuana and what appeared to be cocaine, stashed in a weapons safe.
After the seizure, Erie County Probation Officers Rob Germann, Lori Cheatom, Nancy Chu and Dana Payne contacted City of Tonawanda police, who were accompanied by officers from other local law enforcement agencies and a K-9 unit.
Frustino had been on probation for a felony drug charge.
