Now here's something you don't get to do every day: skate on New Era Field.
Hockey fans will get their chance today and Thursday, ahead of the U.S. vs. Canada game of the 2018 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship at 3 p.m. Friday.
Tickets are $100 per person and include a 300 level ticket to Friday's outdoor game.
There are two sessions: today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Skaters must bring their own skates, and helmets are required for anyone under 12. Anyone coming into the stadium must have a ticket, even if they're not skating.
Skaters are asked to enter the stadium grounds at One Bills Drive, which is the main driveway off of Abbott Road and park in Lot 2. They can enter the stadium through Gate 1 and head toward section 122/123. A warming station is going to be set up in the field's east end zone tunnel where skaters can put on their skates. Concessions will be available for purchase at the Miller Lite Brew Pub.
