Shovelers needed to clear New Era Field for World Juniors outdoor game

With the outdoor game in the World Junior Championship scheduled for Friday, officials at New Era Field are looking for snow shovelers.

Shoveling will begin Wednesday at 9 a.m. and continue into the afternoon and evening as needed and is open to anyone 18 and over with proper working papers and identification. Pay is $11 per hour.

According to a news release, lunch and dinner breaks will be provided in a comfortable warming area. Those who work a shift of four hours or more will receive a ticket to Friday's Canada-United States game. Game time is 3 p.m.

Shovelers are also asked to dress appropriately and to bring their own shovels. (Shovels will be provided if needed.)

Shovelers may enter off Abbott Road just north of the Team Store and proceed to the Jani-King office trailer east of Parking Lot 6 to register to work. For more information, please email
