Free Christmas tree giveaway tradition continues in Tonawanda

Free Christmas trees will be available to anyone in need Sunday at the back parking lot of Philip Sheridan School, 3200 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.

Volunteers will assist those needing help loading the trees from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. After 1 p.m., the remaining trees will be left in the parking lot for anyone to take.

This is is a long-standing tradition organized by former Legislator Chuck Swanick and David Arida with Arida Tree Farms. This year, Northtown Garden Center is donating the trees.
