NIAGARA FALLS — Judge Diane Vitello has announced she will seek re-election to Niagara Falls City Court next November.
Vitello has more than 27 years of experience in law and was elected to Niagara Falls City Court in 2008. She has presided over the Domestic Violence Court and was elevated to an acting County Court judge by the supervising judge of the Eighth Judicial District.
She also will preside over cases in the newly formed Niagara County Youth Court, which will handle serious felony cases involving teens from throughout the county beginning in October 2018.
Vitello began her legal career in Niagara Falls in 1994, and was appointed by Judge Paul Crapsi as a court attorney in Family Court, where she served for eight years. She also worked as a Niagara County assistant district attorney.
