Patriots coach Bill Belichick is known for his encyclopedic knowledge of X's and O's, and the team promotes him each week in a video segment breaking down game film of the upcoming opponent, as well as film from the Patriots' previous game. The segments are co-hosted by former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak.
Here is Belichick's film breakdown from the Bills-Pats meeting earlier this month at New Era Field, which the Patriots won, 23-3. Some points covered include:
- Tyrod Taylor's red zone interception
- How Patriots running backs were able to gash the Bills
- How good coverage leads to sacks
Belichick, whose defense sometimes struggles against mobile quarterbacks, mentioned Taylor's mobility repeatedly in this video and others. He's "a hard guy to handle," Belichick said.
Additionally, here Belichick's breakdown of some Bills film from their opponent preview earlier this month. He discussed the danger of Taylor, and how designating a defender to "spy" on the quarterback can backfire because Taylor is often too fast for the spy.
The Patriots haven't released this week's preview yet.
