Woman charged with disorderly conduct at Akron High School

A Town of Niagara woman was arrested Tuesday night at Akron High School after authorities said she became combative with police officers who said she was intoxicated and trying to get into her vehicle and leave the school.

Tammy Criswell, 48, was uncooperative and yelled obscenities at officers, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office. After she was taken into custody, she repeatedly pulled away from a deputy and then tried kicking out the rear window of a patrol vehicle.

Criswell was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. She was issued appearance tickets and released into the custody of a family member, the Sheriff's Office said.
