The Sweeney Building at 268 Main St. has two new tenants opening soon.
The Salty Dog Barbershop is a full-service barbershop patterned after the classic groomers of the 1950s. Owned by Syracuse native Rick Bassett, the shop will occupy storefront space on the building's first floor. It is aiming for a soft opening later this week, with an official open date of Jan. 2.
DSV Air & Sea, a Danish global transport and logistics company with 80 locations around the world, will open Jan. 1. In addition to its logistics and transport services, it will operate a full Customs brokerage, which will help clear shipments for speedy border clearance. Buffalo's proximity to the Canadian border was a deciding factor in the company's decision to locate in the city, the company said.
The Sweeney Building is owned by three partners of advertising agency Crowley Webb, which occupies three floors of the building. J.R. Militello Realty and Keenan Law Firm are located on the third floor.
