Sabres loan Nylander to Sweden for world juniors

Alex Nylander will again be playing in Buffalo ... and for Sweden.

The Sabres have loaned the forward to Team Sweden for the world junior championships. The 19-year-old will leave the Rochester Americans for the tournament, which will be held from Tuesday through Jan. 5 in Buffalo.

Nylander has two goals and four points in 15 games for the Amerks. He started his season late after suffering a lower-body injury during the Sabres' prospect challenge in September.

The winger represented Sweden in last year's world juniors and recorded five goals and 12 points in seven games.
