JeShawn J. Elliott of Youngstown, Ohio, agreed Tuesday to be extradited back to Ohio to face a murder charge in the slaying of his girlfriend.
Elliott, 28, was captured by Niagara Falls police Aug. 9 after he allegedly drove the body of Anvia Mickens to the Falls in the trunk of his car, which he left parked near the former Tony Roma's Restaurant off Buffalo Avenue.
An autopsy showed the woman, 28, was strangled and stabbed 23 times.
Elliott rented a bike and was confronted by police in a downtown parking lot. He allegedly pulled a knife on the officers and was felled by a Taser. He later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of menacing and on Tuesday was formally sentenced by Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III to time served.
