What to watch for Tuesday

1. Boys basketball - V-Irondequoit at Canisius, 7 p.m.

No. 1 large school Canisius hosts defending Section V Class A champ Irondequoit in an intriguing nonleague matchup. The Crusaders capped the Public/Private Challenge last Saturday with a win over No. 1 small school Health Sciences.

2. Girls basketball - Lake Shore at St. Mary's of Lancaster, 7 p.m.

No. 6 small school St. Mary's of Lancaster welcomes No. 9 large school Lake Shore. Both teams are young on paper, but a lot of that youth has plenty of varsity experience.

3. Girls hockey - Amherst/Sweet Home/Clarence vs. Frontier/Lake Shore/Orchard Park, 4 p.m.

CASH (4-2-0-1) and FLOP (5-1-0-0-1) meet at Northtown Center after both teams played yesterday.

FLOP lost to Williamsville in overtime, 2-1, while CASH came from behind late to win a 7-6 overtime game against Kenmore/Grand Island.

4. Boys basketball - Williamsville East at Amherst, 6:30 p.m.

No. 10 large school Williamsville East (3-1, 1-0) visits No. 8 Amherst (3-1, 1-0) in an ECIC II showdown. The Tigers swept the Flames last season.
