Buffalo man caught with rifle and live rounds arrested

A Buffalo man faces numerous weapons charges after Buffalo police stopped him in his vehicle Thursday, armed with a rifle and ammunition in the 400 block of Fox Street.

Marven D. Lee, 27, a previously convicted felon, is accused of waving a loaded shotgun outside a bar in the 600 block of Fox Street. Police, who were responding to a 911 call about the incident, said Lee fled the scene but was stopped by officers a short distance away. A search of his vehicle found him in possession of a Hi-Point 9mm 19 defaced rifle, loaded with eight live rounds of ammunition, police said.

Lee was charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm; criminal possession of a weapon by a person who was previously convicted of a felony; menacing and unlawful possession of ammunition.
