More "boxes of love" were distributed Saturday to refugee and immigrant families in Buffalo by the Buffalo Dream Center.
The event was led by Rev. Eric Johns, pastor of the center, and a host of volunteers at the Dream Center's Lafayette Avenue location.
“It has been a great year,” says Pastor Eric Johns. “Hundreds of volunteers wrapped toys, packed food in bags, and helped distribute to families in need.”
The Christmas campaign aims to give away food to 3,000 families and toys to 5,000 children.
It is scheduled to continue this week in Buffalo and Niagara Falls.
Campaign officials still seek money and toys for children aged 9 and older for distribution next week.
