A West Seneca man with three prior convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol was charged Thursday night after he crashed his pickup into a parked car on Seneca Street, according to West Seneca police.
Thomas A. Capitano, 31, of Lein Road, failed field sobriety tests at the scene and a certified drug recognition expert determined he was under the influence of a depressant, police said.
Capitano was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, two counts of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, circumventing an ignition interlock device and several vehicle and traffic violations, according to police.
He was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center without bail. His three prior convictions came within the last eight years, police said.
